Chapter Lead
Andy Randles is a SeattleYIMBY Chapter Lead, and has been since early 2024. He grew up in Spokane but was enamored with city life on the west side of the state and made the move out west for school in Bellingham, before settling in Seattle in 2013. He first got involved with housing advocacy when he attended a downtown Design Review Board meeting in 2017 and realized just how broken the existing process was. He continued down the rabbit hole of unpacking land use, planning, transportation and city life until finally joining SeattleYIMBY in summer 2023. Since then he’s organized a number events and hosted a panel of developers, architects and land use consultants to understand the biggest barriers to housing. He’s passionate about ending our housing shortage and embracing an abundance mindset in our cities. Professionally, Andy is a commercial real estate broker with Ewing & Clark.
