Tell City Council To Pass A Bold Comprehensive Plan
letter_campaign Action
The Seattle City Council has a once-in-a-decade chance to finally tackle our housing shortage. We are now in Phase 2 of the Comprehensive Plan, which focuses specifically on Transit Corridors and Neighborhood Centers. This is the moment the Council decides how many new neighbors we’ll welcome into the areas with the best access to shops, parks, and transit. Unfortunately, the initial draft was watered down before it reached the Council. As it stands, the plan still makes it too difficult to build the walkable, diverse neighborhoods we actually need. We need a plan that doesn't just legalize housing on paper, but makes it a reality - allowing families to live not just along loud, polluted arterials, but also in the quiet, transit-adjacent blocks where people actually want to grow roots.
